You try to jump over the guards' head - and get shot in the leg. Falling you to the floor, you know that Trask is gone - he could be anywhere.... But you won't go down this way! -Fight them off. -Go for the stairs anyway - chase Trask to the ends of the Earth. -Make for Trask's office.

You try to fight them off, throwing the guards into each other, punching them, smacking them with your tendrils, etc. - but in your weakened state, you only make it through five before getting a shot in the back. You kneel over, in pain, when suddenly, "Okay.... This is a bit crazy.... First I'm fighting Eddie, now I'm SAVING him?" Parker.... He bounces off the walls, knocking out three more guards and scooping you up. He runs toward the exit, but the guards keep coming and shooting. Still running, he shoots some webs back at their guns, causing them to backfire and explode. He leaps to the window in Trask's office, jumps down and starts swinging. -Break free. -Feed. -Stay put for now.

Weakened, you do all you know how to - you feed on Spider-Man. And start plummeting to the ground.... -Let him go and grab onto him. -Let him go and shoot a webline. -Keep feeding.

Okay, this time for real.
You let Parker go, and shoot a webline. Parker goes in the opposite direction. You're weak, and you hunger.... You'll get Trask another day - but for now, it's feeding time....
Mission Complete.

Finished. Damn. That wasn't as good an outcome as it could've been if I had picked other choices. Fuck.

On the bright side, I never intended to make it possible for you to kill Trask - he's too pivotal to the story. I'll do that sometimes, by the way - give you an impossible mission which you just have to survive.... Though getting shot PROBABLY wasn't such a good idea....

Hm.... I need a cut-scene.... Y'know, nothing really fits....
Oh! Wait! I know!
Earlier.... Bolivar Trask sits in his office, talking on the phone. "Look, all I care about, is that you're good! And that you can protect from freaks like this Sandman! .... Payment? How about the reward of knowing that a good man is safe. .... I'll take that as a no, then.... Fine, I'll give you ten grand for the whole contract! .... Well, until these carnival rejects leave me alone!" Roderick Kingsley slips in, and Trask holds up a finger for him to wait a second. "Very well, I'll pay you half a grand each day until your services are no longer required, and that's my final offer! Deal? .... Good doing business with you, Mr. Macendale...." He hangs up and looks to Kingsley. "Bodyguard. He usually operates as a mercenary by the name of Jack O'Lantern, but I figured we'd need a bit more than the usual for this type of service.... Now, what are you here for?" "Found something." Kingsley holds up a small vial of green liquid, dangling it around. "What is....?" Trask ponders, and Kingsley flicks it to him. "Careful with that!" "I found it one of Osborn's old storage closets. In the way back. It appears to be a prototype of.... y'know...." "Are there any more?" "Two more." "I see.... Study it, Mr. Kingsley. See if you can learn the secrets." "Consider it yours, Mr. Trask."

That's an easy one!
Sparks fly, and out of the lamppost, a figure forms - a man. He sees the big building, Trask Enterprises. Alarms are ringing - something must be going on. But alas, that building's not the target....
Mission: Kill Roderick Kingsley. Player: Electro - cradleman
Kingsley resides in the much smaller building next to Trask's (not that that's saying much - have you SEEN that place in the USM video game???). There's the target.... Make it fast.... -Walk in through the front door in human form. -Electrify and fly onto the roof. -Electrify and fly up the top tower.

You find Kingsley's window and go right in - but he's not there.... "Uh, hello? Over here!" Spider-Man swings in and kicks you in the back. "C'mon, Electro! MANNERS!" -"I'll show you manners!" Zap him. -Look for Kingsley.
