Unfortunately, giving the award to the person/movie that most deserves it is completely against the spirit of the Oscars. And the Emmys. And the
Mod note: Incredibly long list of award ceremonies deleted.

Well, if you agree that it's hell, then I don't see why you wouldn't see the movie. I'm fine with you believing to be a necessity to a point, but you should at least have some idea what it's like before you draw your line. Or else you'd be making what is called "an unpleasant necessity." Personally, I hate war on all fronts. But I've accepted it as fact. Rather, I've been forced to accept this whole damn world as fact.

War is wrong. Except for World War II. And the Spanish Civil War. And the American Revolution. And
Mod note: Again, long list deleted.

pro-war. to a point. I consider it an unpleasant necessity I agree. Although I see it more as an Unavoidable Pleasure. Attachments:![](//storage.proboards.com/3025950/thumbnailer/cUIyrlJ01QYeYEFLi23f.jpg)

I believe war to be pleasurable for those who enjoy violence. You can't disagree because there are people in the army. If those people did not enjoy violence, I'm sure they would've gone to another career. I have a cousin in the army, and an uncle who was in the Army before he was given leave and came back. They both said that war is stressful, but a good rush. Although they said it in different ways.

And the hellish environment changes them, messes with their mind, and it's hard to readapt to civilian life for many.

I am very confused right now. First all this stuff with Nick, and I still have no idea what's going on, then my friend posts on facebook that his mom's taking him to family court for being "uncontrollable." WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON???

Happy to see UP get best animated picture though. Like it had any real competition. Though I would've liked Monsters Vs. Aliens to have been nominated in that category.

I personally wasn't that inpressed by MVA. I just felt that it could've been so much more! I didn't really think that any of the other films stood a chance!
