I mean there's that guy that can create the illusion of having the power of every super hero (but really it's just hyponois-Peter calls him out for being a poor man's Mysterio-anyone know who I'm talking about or remember his name), a bunch of characters connected to the Clone Saga (although that's probably why), and a bunch of one shot characters. Also joke characters never get any love (Deadpool doesn't count).
I can understand having to have the big names there. The Sinster Six members, plus the Goblins (well the big named goblins) are pretty much a given and expected, but give the obscure a chance. I know I'm preaching to the choir, but one of the things that made TSSM awesome was that litereally every character was pre-existing. That's how many characters they have to draw from.
Ok, rant done. I don't mean to condem the show before it aires, that was just something that bugged me.
Fusion? Oh, you mean the OTHER Fusion! There is one in Amazing Spider-Man #20something, and then a new in I think it's called "One Small Break" or something like that. My friend loaned it to me, but I haven't gotten around to reading it yet. JMS, right?
Anyway, quick list of great obscure villains:
Shriek
Puma
Vermin
Lightmaster
Tarantula
The Spot
Stegron
CARRION!!!!!!
Black Tarantula
Ringer
Boomerang
Iguana
Will O' the Wisp
Jonas Harrow
Answer
Black Fox
Big Wheel
Cardiac
Ringmaster
Cobra and Mr. Hyde
Owl
Swarm
Yah, the original Fusion was the one with the tow brothers who merged into one and kept on absorbing everything. I like the second Fusion more because he's simply a better villian. Oh, and it isn't JMS, it's Paul Jenkins. JMS worked on Amazing Spider-Man, while Paul was on Peter Parker: Spider-Man. They both began their runs at the same time. Then Paul took a break and continues with the Spectacular Spider-Man. Personally I like Paul Jenkins run more. Oh, and I forgot about Will O' the Wisp, really great villian, and I love his redemption in the end. Of course I also forgot about other joke villians lie Boomerang, Big Wheel, and the Spot.
