now, as i say this, i know all of you are going to be yelling that you want TSSM back, and that you want to see the end of that show first, and of course I do too. however, it's not going to happen. so all we can do is hope that the new USM cartoon will be good. why do i have so much hope now? Because the news out of comic con in San Diego this week is that the consulting producer and writer of the show is none other than Brian Michael Bendis. granted, i don't have a link to an article, but who needs it when you have a post from Bendis himself on his own message board? Here it is folks. www.606studios.com/bendisboard/showthread.php?t=194721 thought's and opinions now that Bendis is confirmed to be working on the cartoon of his baby?

Interesting, I remember reading that he wrote a couple of episodes for Spider-man:The New Animated series and that he hated all the board meetings and just up and left after writing 2 eps. I'm nowhere near sold on this yet, I mean this is a good start, but the style that they're going to use could make or break this for me. If they go a anima route, then it can screw it self. So we'll see!

So we'll see! they'd sure as hell better use bagley's designs for the characters, as he's the one that designed them all in the first place.

Okay, two things:
1. Bendis writing means squat. Ten years ago, it would've been a good sign. But nowadays? I no longer trust him. 2. We do NOT want Bagley's designs for the same reason the comic book designs didn't work in the '90s. It looks good on paper, not on the screen.

you haven't read his chameleon storyline yet. it's sold me. this current arc is his best since the Venom one, i think. And his Avengers books are the top selling comic books each month

I don't think they should just take a Bagley drawing and throw it on screen, but i think that a very good animated version of bagley's drawings could and should be used.

Or maybe they can find a really good designer and make brand new designs for the characters, that are still faithful to how they are in the comics.

I'm going to take the wait until it airs and see approach. I still kind of hope Disney releases some DTVs to tie up the plot threads of TSSM (Cant hear you, Im in my happy dream world where that totally has a chance of happening...lalala)

Question - do DTVs fall under animation rights or movie rights? As in, is that Disney's or Sony's matter?
